The 11th festival turned out to be bigger and better than ever with more than 200 bands over three days and a special visit by the QE2. The main stage, what a stage, had been relocated to the Pier Head and after a wet and windy start, the clouds moved off and the sun shone down on the masses just as Phil appeared beneath a watchful liver bird, resplendent in red, at 2pm on Sunday.
The full review should be available very soon ( assuming a certain person suffering from amnesia manages to track down a recording of the show) but in the meantime here's a few pictures from Sunday's performance.
